About Us

Dougie’s – a modern Bistro with relaxing surroundings and a welcoming vibe. We offer a seasonally influenced menu which changes monthly with everything homemade on the premises. All of our ingredients are locally sourced from our deli and we offer a wide choice of light lunches, homemade soups, and cakes on a Monday-Friday.

Dougie’s started life as The Cakehole in 2010 and over the years it has evolved into Dougie’s as it is known today. Beginning as a humble village shop, the beautiful Grade II former Saddlers was transformed into The Cakehole. In July 2014, The Cakehole became Dougie’s. The same year our Bistro Service began, which has since continued to grow in popularity. Over the years we have refurbished, tweaked, decorated and added to our lovely space, and in 2019 we took the final step and dropped “Cakehole” from our name to become Dougie’s.

Why Dougie’s? Dougie is very much a family name for our owners. Belonging to the Grandparents of both Kirk and his wife Angela, and it is a name we take just as much pride with as we do serving our community.
